I heard it from the website Armageddon Pills. This family took off one year from work and school and went around the world. They visited China, and said that this was a law.

This is not true. For one thing there is no way to know how old a person is working the computer connected to the internet.

It is true that there is an age limit for people who use the internet cafes and rent the computers. I am not sure what the limit is, maybe 18 or 16. But there is no restriction for people who use a computer from a home or business.

Some sites are censored but that's regardless of the user's age. There is no legal age to use the internet in China, at least as far as my experience goes. I used the internet with my 11 year old daughter dozens of public internet cafes throughout China, from Hong Kong to Dalian.

No its not true. However; chinas internet is heavily sensored and many of the sites that we consider common place are not availalble in china. It freaks you out when you first go on line there. there are just huge gaps in various services.
