my military ID expired so i went to get a california ID. The ID came in the mail a few days ago. It has the wrong gender. It says male I am obviously a female but i guess that doesnt matter now-a-days anybody can look like a women. anyways my aunt told me they wont let me fly. why? they cant do that because what about transgendered people or people with names that are not so typical for their sex, like my boyfriends name is sandy and i knew a guy in high school with the name Jan. It is a legal ID they cant stop me. I dont have time to get it fixed. Any input will help thnx.

I have a fear of flying and my father just announced that we are flying to Florida to visit some old friends. Ahem, yes, flying. I flew solo once when I was 9, but that was 5 years ago! I am TERRIFIED!!!! I mean, I fear the plane will crash, we become victims of terrorists or.....you get what I mean. Someone PLEASE tell me a way to cope. (PS I heard listening to your iPod on the plane can soothe your nerves, but don't electronics interfere with the equipment?) HELP!!!!

My daughter is expecting in November. We obviously don't know an exact date of delivery, so I want to book my flights now at a cheaper rate, instead of waiting until the day of delivery. I don't know how to block a time frame or if I even can. I want to be able to get on a plane when she calls without paying out the nose for that. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your answers.

Okay, so my boyfriend purchased me a plane ticket to go visit him out in Texas. Now I've never flown, so I'm full of nerves, so don't laugh at the question. He purchased the ticket online, and it's an eticket. Now what exactly do I need to get the ticket when I get there? Obviously, I don't have the credit card he used to purchase the ticket, and on some sites I've read that you have to have the card from which the purchase was made... Is that true? Or do I just need my ID?

I purchased 4 airline tickets 6 months ago with continental for July 1st to the 13th, something came up and I want to extend my trip 1 night, they told me it would cost $100 per ticket (total of $400). It seems excessive and unfair, is there anyway around this?

Are animals sedated when they travel in the cargo hold of an air plane? If not, they should!

Tons of people fear flying. What do you think dogs think when they're in the dark and all of the sudden the air pressure changes and they the terrifyingly strange sensations of take-off?

And landing has to be awful because the little things on the wings rise up to slow the plane and there is this scary loud noise... We really should sedate the animals!

The end :)

I have been browsing for airfare from LA to NY for the past couple of months and it has been very expensive compared to the past. Are fares going to change soon? Before the end of July that is? Should I hurry and buy now? I don't want to be assed out if you know what I mean.

I am from Detroit and want to go to San Diego. I found a direct flight there but I found a flight back that is really cheap and has a 2 hour lay-over in Las Vegas. Obviously that is not enough time to hang out in Vegas and I want to go there anyway. Can I fly to San Diego, vacation a couple days, drive to Vegas (skipping the first half of my return flight) and get on the plane in Vegas and fly back to Detroit? Does it matter that I would have had to switch airlines in Vegas? What if it was the same airline, does it make a difference?
