Is there a place where people who want to travel to a small town or city can meet up with private pilots with small planes who want help with the fuel costs and make some money back on their investment? Is the cost typically more or less than flying on a commercial outfit like United Express?

really had a turbulent flight in March on an Airbus plane from Rome to Philly over the Atlantic ocean. I think we encountered clear air turbulence because it happened abruptly and lasted for about 30 minutes or so. Flight attendents were told not to get up even if passengers were constantly beeping for help. I looked at the window and saw the wings flapping violently up and down and had to stop looking because it was making me sick. Nearby passengers started to get their puke bags out while the plane violently jolted up and down and felt like riding a wild rodeo horse. There were no clouds around but a kind of windy fog. The captain announced he was going to try to go to a higher altitude but this didn't help much, he said it should decrease once we were closer to the coast and the air was thinner. I am hoping this will not happen again because I was terrorized!

Basically I would love to be offered good deals from Detroit to Philadelphia, round trip, at any random time. Depending on my work schedule or how far in advance I know about the trip, I'd love to find really low prices or have them automatically emailed to me. (My husband and I live in Michigan but my family is near Philadelphia.) Usually I book through Northwest for holidays etc.

i have two beloved teddy bears that i always carry with me on trips. and i have not been on an international flight for 1 year. with all the new security, would they allow me to bring my two teddy bears?

the reason that i am worried is because the teddy bears have little bells in their bodies. and i do not want the security to get suspicious and make me leave the bears behind, or i do not want the security to cut open my beloved teddy bears.
i could leave them at home, but then i would miss them terribly and have not been without them for more than 48 hours. i will be travelling for 1 whole week.

i worry cause UK security is tough and i am 27 years old. and they might be suspicious of me??
i need advice.

i know that i could leave them at home just to be safe. but i am that type of person that would want them to be with me just in case there was a plane accident. or even worse, a terror attck in new york, while i am in london and there would be no way home

Why is it everyone thinks it's TSA that makes up the rules on what can and can't be taken through the checkpoint, and taking off shoes? Anyone smart enough to know that it's the people you voted into congress that are telling us what the rules are. All our rules come from Washington DC, and yet everyday we have to hear "why are you doing this" or "TSA won't let me". It gets really aggrivating, I enjoy my job and take it serious, 9/11 affected me and my family and I don't want to see it happen again.

I am traveling on a commerical airplane for the first time since August. Does the TSA really look for labels to match the pills you carry on? This is one thing their website doesn't clarify well.

Thanks!

i will be travelling to london in a few weeks from new york and was wondering if i can carry my ipod, my nitendo gameboy, my 2 teddy bears, my makeup, and my favorite burberry umbrella??

what will the security people not allow me to bring on the plane? because i would leave some of these items at home if i knew that i would not be able to bring the on the plane with me.

i remember a few weeks ago i was watching the news and they made people throw out items such as moisturizer, and cosmetics. was that just because of a certain event?? or is that a solid rule now??

thanks!

Even if you discount the 911 tax, plane tickets have skyrocketed (presumably because of the cost of gas). However, European airlines like EasyJet can get you around Europe for next to nothing. I flew round trip from Berlin to Athens for like $50. Last I checked, gas was MORE expensive there. What's the deal?
