I flew from Boise ot Seattle on Hughes Airwest.
We hit an air pocket so bad, my food was zero gravity and hovered in front of my face
As it crashed down to my tray top, the pilot comes on and says, "Uhhhhhhhh....we seem to have experienced a little........uhhhhhhhhhhhh....chop."
As we hit the second pocket, the engines went silent. Flop sweat is exploding off me. O.o
""Uhhhhhhhhhh......at his thime, we are turning on the fasten seat belt sign......uhhhhhhhhhhhh "
I stuffed that meal into me. If I'm going to die, at elast I'll be fed.
Just as we were ready to touch down in Seattle, we were hit with a side wind shear that lifted the right side of the plane up, so we touched on two sets of wheels, then the plane came down with a hard clunk.
As we taxied, the pilot comes on agaion. "Uhhhhhh.....that was a bit harsh of a landing............uhhhhhhhh. But we made it. Uhhhhhhhhhhh."

Last year I took a flight from West Virginia to Washington, D.C. in a prop jet. The flight was delayed for quite a few hours, there were only 3 passengers, and in the meanwhile, it started snowing heavily. When the incoming flight arrived, each of the passengers came in from outside green in the face, covered with snow, and, looking at the 3 of us, each of them said, "Good luck!" or some variant of that, in a pitying manner. When we went out to the plane, they made us all sit in the back row to counterbalance the fuel, and we all, including the flight attendant, had to stay strapped in the whole time. The entire hour of the flight felt like being in a blender. Both of the other two passengers, young, strong looking men, were more frightened than I was! I couldn't even look at their faces, because that scared me even more. I fly quite a bit, and I have never experienced anything like it before. I'm only glad that it was short!

I flew out from Tokyo Narita returning home to Brisbane, Australia and it was Typhoon seasion. It was poring down and the wind was crazy and we were allowed to take off. The 1st 45 minitues of the NIGHT flight was very turbulant. As this was the 4th time I had ever flew, I was very nevious. tHE PIOLOTS DID an EXELANT job of fliyng that 747.
JAL pilots are very good. They even appologized for the turbulance even though it was not their fault

Flew for several years as a hostie and once on a flight back from Boston in hurricane season had to sit down for 3 hours. Weren't allowed to answer any call bells. Couldn't serve food or drinks even when able to stand.
