It seems kind lame that you get charged for travel, and if some kind of emergency comes up, you're screwed over.

get as much revenue as possible then wouldn't it be in all our best interest if we (those of us who are spontaneous and can't do the two week in advance thing without great stress) could just show up at the airport and buy a ticket at the same cost that an advance purchaser would. I don't do it because it's too expensive, and thus end up not flying, but would do it it a lot if the fare was lower. I am one of those people who can only take things a day at a time. I just don't get it-as it would benefit the airlines to get more passengers too. So, what say you? Why the penalizing.

What do you do when you are planning to go on a fun vacation with your family over fall break and suddenly you realize your passport is expired? Do you know of any paperwork you can use in the place of a passport?

Now I hear they have to inspect breast implants before one gets on the plane. The lighter thing was out of hand, and they've gone even farther.
Note that security issues aside, you are 500X more likely to go down in a plane due to mechanical failure than in a hijacking.

So, do you think the regs should be even stricter and people should undergo more scrutiny, do you like them as they are? Or would you prefer returning to pre-911 standards and take our chances?

I was given crutches a few days ago and I'm traveling on an airplane tomorrow morning. Are there any special procedures I need to do before, during, or after the flight?

Within the next few years, I really want to make it to New York, England and Sweden. Putting $1.00 in the Priceline.com Name Your Own Price fare and getting REALLY cheap tickets seems too good to be true. Is it worth the hassle? Is there a hassle? Am I putting the wrong amount in...? I really have no idea what I'm doing! Does anyone have experience with this site? Also, right now I'm under 18, but would be going with someone of age. Can I still purchase these tickets?

Interested in hearing about anyone's experience and which one to choose. Seat pitch and inflight entertainment are particularly important. Can choke down any kind of food.
