never been on a premier class flight before, and would like to see what its like, and if good would then book it on the return.
Have you any experiances of doing this? and how did you get it?

Thanks for your help

No. The charter air companies offer a premier class, not like a scheduled airline club class by any means, but more room and other bells and whistle. The price they offer these at is such that, (about £200 each way) especially at busy times (ie holiday season/ half term/ Christmas etc) they are heavily booked up well in advance. To get a free upgrade, frankly, is very highly unlikely, if at all.

There is no upgrade facility on a charter flight. There is only one class on charter flights. If you're on a scheduled flight, ask at the check in desk for a free upgrade. It does depend on airline policy but you are more likely to get a free upgrade if they are overbooked.

Invest in a collapsible walking-stick, i.e. one that folds up, limp up to the check-in desk with your stick and see what happens. It worked for me! Oh and by the way it pays to look ''respectable'', collar and tie (or female equivalent) if you can bear it, no trainers or shorts/jeans etc. If you look like a backpacker you'll never get upgraded. Good luck!

Most charter flights are all one class so there's nowhere to be upgraded to.

It's great... but your chances of a free upgrade are low unless you are a frequent flyer or get luck due to overbooking.
