My passport was held for past spousal support (which I wasn't even ordered to pay, and that my ex doesn't want. It's a paper work mix up so don't lump me in with the deadbeat dads I make sure my kids get their money!)

I'm in trouble. I didn't even know my passport was held until today when my ex called me with "did we ever get this cleared up because this friend of mine..."

I'm coaching a team of martial artists in Europe and I NEED to get in the country. At this point, if I get stuck there I'm not that worried about it, my team needs me and there are kids and teens on it who need their coach!

My question: How does the passport scanning process work? As I recall, they don't scan it until you get to your destination country. Once I'm in Europe (Austria) I get a lot more confident that I can talk my way through.

Please no negativity! My team needs me and I have to make this work. PS - please tell me how you know what you are saying because I may make plans around it.

Help!!

I know its a lot longer then it is today as early jet engines were less power and therefore you had less airspeed, but by how much?
I am watching "The High and the Mighty" and it got me curious.

It says there will be a 30% chance of rain tomorrow. So I dunno if that happens like everyday, and 30 percent means nothing or what, but do you think it will delay?
Thanks.

I have just returned from a 4 week holiday to the UK on my departure with a well known airline I had a faulty entertainment screen that could NOT be switched off and could not watch or listen to any entertainment throughout the 23.5 hour flight-I was also 2 rows from the rear toilets..At the time the cabin staff got me to complete a form to be forwarded to their head office. I also sent an email which was confirmed and told that I would have a response within 28 days-I sent a follow up email and have still heard nothing. On my return flight once again for the first leg of the flight NO entertainement again-however they did manage to move me to another seat one hour after takeoff for the final leg.
Surely I am entitled to a response and suitable monetary compensation as they did not provide adequate service for the full fare I provided. Can anyone advise how I can go about pursuing this matter further???

I always drink when I fly (only 1 drink of course) but usually the flight is in the afternoon. My next flight is at 6:00am in the morning, so I was wondering if anyone has every drank on an early morning flight and do they even offer it. It's only a three hour flight, but I'd like to have a glass of wine.

I make some special gelatos that I would like to bring to my family & friends across the world. I will need to keep them frozen during travel. Will there be any problem going through custom if they are packed in dry ice?

I am booking a trip for around 30 people. We wil be travelling from Oklahoma City to Salt Lake City the first weekend in November. I have tried looking everywhere for cheap flights. Does anyone know about which websites offer deals to large groups? The cheapest round-trip tickets I've found have been $350.

Okay I fly in from the EU to the East coast at times. I fly in from Ireland to the United States (usually places like boston) and then connect down to Orlando.

Well when I'm in my connecting airport what really pains the crap out of me is how many times they want to check your shoes for bombs and your passport and tickets! I had 2 hours to connect and they still had to page me for final boarding - when all I was doing was transferring from concourse A to concourse C or something like it.

They must have checked me 3 times and between each location there was literally NO WAY that I could have had access to an outside element to receive a bomb or sneak into anything: you basically go through baggage-> customs -> checkpoint1 -> a long, long never ending hall of doom -> checkpoint2 -> another enclosed hallway -> checkpoint3

explain this to me?

My partner's mother is traveling from Mexico City to Frankfurt Germany. It is cheaper for her have a flight that makes one stop in a US city, where she would change planes and then fly to Frankfurt, rather than fly directly non-stop from Mexico City to Frankfurt. If she changes planes in the US, I believe she has to go through customs and immigration services prior to leaving for Frankfurt, Germany. Does she need to have a US visa (in addition to her passport) to change planes in the USA? A Mexican visitor to the USA needs a visa in addition to their passport to visit the USA. Does a tourist changing planes at a US airport also need a visa to pass through the USA on their way to Europe?
