Israel seems very cool due to its linkage to God and the place being 'gods chosen land?'.

Could you tell me a bit about the country? like what to see and what the general environment is like?

I have been drawn to visit the Holy land for about 18 months now. I want to visit Israel and stay in the Christian Quarter to visit the Holy sites. It would cost little because I have frequent flyer miles! My wife of 20 years has no desire to go. My wife is afraid I will be harmed in a terrorist attack. I know I would be safe. I want to go real bad!! Thanks for your help---

I will be going to Israel for the first time in less than two months. I know how to read the Biblical Hebrew alphabet (with the vowel markers), but don't know any Modern Hebrew. I am a Native English speaker and have acquired two East Asian languages and I learn languages relatively quickly. I enjoy learning languages. I know that they speak fluent English in Israel. So what are the benefits, if any, for me to learn in this short time frame.

Is it because there is no constitution. A kiss of justice Minstar constitute a crime in a country that dose not have a constitution. Not to mention the Israeli president he is wanted by the court for less than a kiss. It should be written in Zionists constitution that Karin Kayamat is crime for serving Jews only?

This is not a travel question - but have to post it here on purpose.
I asked 4 weeks ago why this section here is more and more turning into a political forum. Received some answers. Choosed as best answer who answered me: I wonder about myself. - Now this particular answerer is posting political questions right here hisself. Well......guess he was right, can't change it.

So far so good. But did ever anybody noticed that's only okay to ask political question when they are pro Israel?. As soon as a question will be asked which is not pro Israel the same person will say right away: traveling section! No politics!

Last example of many is the answerer itay. On the question:Apartheid in Israel? He answered: not a travelling question. But right in here he was asking political questions and was even looking for a girl. What this has to do with TRAVEL?

If political issues come here, then pro Israelis should accept that, too.A question is a question also when asked in the wrong place.

Or to put it another way, if I were to go there on a visit how long would £250 last me?
I have already checked out the exchange rate which is approx. 8.3 new shekels to the gb pound, but that doesn't tell me much about how expensive things are in Israel.
For example, what would be the cost of a meal in a reasonably nice restaurant?

I will be in the tourism fair in Tel Aviv, the 7th and 8th of February.
Is there anybody else going there?
It’s first time for me to travel to Israel and I am a little nervous, as I’ve seen on TV that another bomb exploded in Eilat.
My husband is very afraid for me and insists that I should stay at home, but it´s my job and it’s important for my future career to go... and I wanted to go to Israel all my life... I will arrive 4th and return 9th.
What can I see in 2 days??? (The 5th and 6th????)
Would it be best to rent a car and go around?? Is there a lot of traffic???
Any 1-day trips you can recommend??? (The hotel is in Tel Aviv)
What to see in Tel Aviv???
