Israel seems very cool due to its linkage to God and the place being 'gods chosen land?'.

Could you tell me a bit about the country? like what to see and what the general environment is like?

Its beautiful. I go there every year to visit my grandparents, and we stay at their house in Ramat Hasharon. I no you probably think its dangerous and its in war, bla bla bla, but Israel is alwayslike that, and it just brings everyone together. You don't see bombs dropping all around you all the time or anything. The south is beautiful, the roman ruins are nice, and Tel Aviv is a really fun place to stay. Jerusalem is a little dangerous, but its the most beautiful city, a blend of ancient judaism, arabic culture, and christianity. (the old city) you should definetly go. In tell aviv some nice restaurants are pizza in the square, the lebanese place next to it, and braserie. Its definetly worth visiting. Everyone knows english too incase u dont speak hebrew.

Its amazing and it cannot be summed up in any way. I suggest buying an Israeli tour guide book becuase there is litterally a million things to do there. First u havta go to the "kotel" or the western wall. You have to swim in the dead sea, go scuba diving, swim with dolphins. Theres just tons to do. Ull hava great time dont worry. Its beautiful.
