No, but the Middle East is considered Western Asia. There is a definite connection with Israel and Europe, in 1947/48 the European flood gates opened up and the Jews from Europe, as prophesied. returned to the area which is known as Israel. After the Soviet Bloc fell once again thousands of Eastern European Jews fled to Israel. Really not a bad question after all.

Well it not such a horrible question..Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi once suggested that Israel (and I think Russia) should both be able to join the E.U...which is currently considering admitting Turkey. Consider that many Europeans are in favor of this idea and many opposed but if agreed it would bring the border of the E.U to Iraq...
Culturally Israel is closer to the E.U. that to some of its neighbors. I dont know which ones..Most of its citizens are descendents from European stock. I would like to see Israel and maybe someday Lebanon admitted... or if not at least get some preferrential partnership status.
What is Europe exactly anyway..does it stop at the Caucasus Mts, what about Georgia? is that Europe... Apparently Europe has decided ot include Romania and Bulgaria but not all their neighbors... Israel is not in Asia as someone said..but it was close enough for the Romans, ALexander and Napoleon to pass nearby (egypt) when they were busing conquering Europe.
So yes, partly Israel is in Europe..they also have the strongest military on the medditerranean

Israel is in what we call the Middle East which is directly between Europe and Africa, but not actually in either. It is connected to both continents, but would more likely be considered in Europe if any:-)

Its a good question most Israelis do not know the answer. Is Israel a middle eastern state or not. They do not look middle eastern to rest of the world.
