Tried what? living there? The difference is simple
in a Moshav you have your own house, farm etc.
and just the facilities (school, shops etc.) are communal
property. In the kibbutz you work where you are assigned to
in today's kibbutz you have an allowance and you need to get by
with it - the difference have really shrinked since the
kibbutzim became sort of privatized.
