I am starting to research a trip to the Highlands and am looking for info / advice for my trip. Big on my list is high scenic views and to maybe step back in time. We are meeting our 22 year old son who will be on leave from the war zone...would like things for him to do, bars, etc plus would like the privacy of two rooms-thought renting a condo would be too secluded but the resorts seem to be running $500 - $1000 per night and it looks like we would have to actually book two rooms? Also would like a kitchen. If there was something affordable nearby the bars/spas, etc. on the beach, would love suggestions. Thanks!
