Safe to stay there? I am not much aware about Philipines. But on the net i found that olongopo is a red light district... is it true? he has gone there with a male friend of his, on work. Somehow I feel uncomfortable thinking about they staying at a red light area.

Ok, this is to anyone who currently does or has lived in New Zealand and/or England. I was just wandering, approx. what the real estate is like over there (in those 2 areas). Like, which are the best towns/cities to buy in, what are prices like over there, where are the most expensive and what are the most expensive areas costing? Which areas would u buy in (if u had the money)?

BTW, im from Australia, so I'd be interested to see about these 2 countries, in comparison to Australia. Sydney's quite high, average is like $520,000 AUD for a house now, although Perth is now starting to catch up.

I am planning to go to New Zealand around March/April 2007. I just have couple of days time (3 or 4 days max). I am particularly interested in the Maori culture and relaxed mountain retreat type of holidays. I am wondering if there is even any place where you can stay in the Maori village and to experience their daily life? I am not even sure if this is ethical to do, or if this is even intrusive to the locals? Or, if this is not possible, I have heard that they are some tours that will bring you to the villages for the dinner and cultural shows. I am wondering which tour agency does the best job, and which part of new zealand should I go best for this tour? I have heard that the most developed one is in Rotoura (correct spelling?), but it is too touristic? Any recommendation would be appreciated. Btw, when is the Regatta day? Is that the best time to see a Maori festival and its cultural display? Thank you

Someone suggested me Thailand or Panama: I'm open to any suggestion. I like a mild climate and an affordable cost of living (kind of $1000 a month)

There's a plan to attract retiring foreigners to stay here in the Philippines. Well, if you like, you better avail of such offer. There are lots of beautiful places here.

My God daughter is 20, she's a lovely girl, very sensible, reserved and studious type. She has plenty of friends and has been on holiday with them in the past but they are too gregarious for her. She wants to go on holiday in Europe with other people of her own age but is DEFINITELY NOT an 18-30 candidate. Does anyone know of a suitable travel organisation/company that she could consider ?? Thanks for your time.
