Does anyone know where any really interesting places to go in Chicago are? Like boutiques, cafes, etc.? Some quirky, unusual, non-touristy spots? My girlfriends and I are going to be in Chicago for the summer and need some great ideas to have fun. Preferably in the "heart" of Chicago, like the center rather than the outskirts. THanks! :D

I recieved a letter from this program to go to England, Wales, & Ireland this summer (2007). [I am 16 years old/female].

Is anyone else going to Europe this summer?!

Has anyone gone on any People to People trips? To where? How much did it cost? Was it worth the $$$?

I'm a little ambivalent because I'm not sure if it's just a scam or what. Or if it's worth the money. I've heard mostly good things but still...

My mom is making me pay for the entire thing and I really don't wanna get ripped off.

I'm 16, and I've been to the USA lot's of time on vacation with my family and to visit our relatives who live in North Carolina and Connecticut, and I love it there!

But my friends keep telling me that Americans don't like Canadians. And when I tell them I want to live there they go "Why would you want to live there, USA sucks". I don't care that they say that though, because I've been to the USA and I think it's great and most people are friendly there.

I've seen on the news about that immigration thing in the USA with Mexico, and I guess some Americans don't like immigrants. But I reallly want to live there because I just think it's a great county, and I would become an American citizen if I had the chance and I wouldn't illegally immigrate, I would do it legally and pay all my taxes!!!

I would like to know where to stay, where to go, what to do...I would like to know all this before going there so I don't get burnt once I'm there. Just like when they say we'd get free tickets, all we had to do was go to a presentation for 1/2 hour which turned into 1/2 the day, we didn't know about that before hand so we fell for it. Any info on anything regarding a trip with my teenage son and his friend would be appreciated. Tahnks in advance for your help.
