The Best Baseball City in America (Go Cardinals, reigning World Series Champs), good blues music, Nelly and Italian food on the Hill....Also as someone who lives in the City of St. Louis, the whole most dangerous City thing is BS!

The images I most associate with St Louis are the Arch and the Cardinals.
The thing I miss most about St Louis is the museum district--free zoo and museums.
My primary impression of St Louis is it's the most racially divided place I've ever lived/been. Well, maybe short of Jerusalem.
I also think of the Hyatt Regency at Union Station, because we had our very beautiful wedding there.

It is known as the " Show me State." The famous writer, Mark Twain lives here. He wrote the "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn."
The landmark here is the Gateway Arch. It is as tall as a 62 storey building. What about a riding a small train to the top? Why was this built? This was built to honor the poineers who made possible the westward expansion of the USA.
Did you know that it's largest city is named after a famous State? Yes, it is Kansas City!
It is in this state that the ice cream cone became famous as eary as 1904.
OUTDOOR LIFE:
1. Visit the underground cave! Here you will see colorful limestone formations in the Meramec cavern
2. Ozark Mountains: You can go canoeing here or rafting down the river.
3. Visit Grant's Farm, over 24 million people had visited this place. It had taken its name from the 18th President of US, Ulysses Grant. This is a 281-acre ancestral house of the Busch family just south of the city of Missouri. You will see almost 1,000 animals in that area.
( see grantsfarm.com)
4. Are you a plant lover? Then See Missouri Botanical Garden

I think of my Great Uncle Keith and Aunt Rosie (rest her soul). Aunt Rosie made the best authentic Italian pasta I've ever eaten. My Uncle Keith is my grandma's brother. Aunt Rosie was a first generation US citizen - her parents immigrated to St. Louis from Italy and only spoke Italian. Aunt Rosie loved to cook and loved even more to feed us and see us eat a lot. She pinched our cheeks when we were little and spoke to us in Italian, which we never did understand, but she made it sound very nice. Uncle Keith and Aunt Rosie lived in St. Louis when I was a child and we used to look forward to our visits with them.

Great places to eat, if you visit the local eateries. Go to the hill and you can't go wrong. I love eating out and St. Louis has reasonable priced food that is very tasty.

I have a cousin who lives there, so I think of her... and that trolley/bell song. I also think of Chicago... I always pictured St. Louis to look like Chicago. Oh, and hot dogs! Maybe that's Chicago again... I'm confused... Nevermind.
