I'm going camping(like 3rd question i've asked) and i want it to be vey simple. I'm going camping in April near Appalachians. I don't know how willing my parents are to buying a whole bunch of stuff we may or may not need. Hopefully we'll be sleeping in a cabin. Bring our own food, and it shouldn't be too cold. Will we still need Polypropylene underwear, it can be very expensive for 4 people?

We would like to look at vacation rentals on/near the beach somewhere south of San Francisco. We would like to be able to access the BART to visit S.F. from wherever we stay.

I would very much appreciate some suggestions of nice areas to stay (I see Pescadero, San Gregorio, Half-Moon Bay, San Pedro and Pacifica on a map, but I know absolutely nothing about this area).

Im relocating from Puerto Rico so Im used to the heat and humidity (its no big deal for me) not used to the cold weather you barely have to use a jacket here maybe once or twice during January. I want to live in a place that has lots of things to do, is safe for my 8 year old daughter and is not to expensive. I dont mind living in a sub city like Katy or Round Rock to be in a nicer area.
