East Coast. Almost anywhere between New Jersey and New Hampshire, closer to the shore is good. Maybe the southern most point of Maine but I wouldn't want to go too far up there. Vermont is beautiful but a little isolated. I would stay out of upstate NY. Philly is ok but a little too far south for me.

There are many factors when considering the best place to live.
If you belong to the working age group, LA would be best for you. However, it is so traffic down there. Jobs are here!
If you are already retired then San Diego would be the best place for you. They have nice weather, it doesnt snow there.
However, cost of living in California would be expensive. The best place would depend on your needs at present.

I live in the midwest (Minnesota) and I am convinced that Ashville, North Carolina is pretty close to heaven. From what I have seen when driving through there and what I read.....I just have this feeling about there. It is so beautiful there.
