I'm going camping(like 3rd question i've asked) and i want it to be vey simple. I'm going camping in April near Appalachians. I don't know how willing my parents are to buying a whole bunch of stuff we may or may not need. Hopefully we'll be sleeping in a cabin. Bring our own food, and it shouldn't be too cold. Will we still need Polypropylene underwear, it can be very expensive for 4 people?

Go to a military surplus store if there is one near you, things are a bit cheaper there. Or Burlington Coat Factory store, Walmart, Target or any of the discount stores. Check the local Goodwill store too for used and new items Or even the Salvation Army stores. Both I believe are now selling new clearance clothing from stores. Check online too, places like www.overstock.com and compare prices. Ebay too.

First you would have to determine where you are sleeping, and the weather. The weather has been a bit differently lately. At the least, you would want to take a sleeping bag good to at least 30 degrees depending on the weather. if the snow has melted, the women might need the Polypropylene underwear and you may only need the top with some Levis. During the day you would dress layered in T-shirt, wool long sleeve shirt, a vest or jacket. A wool baseball cap can do as well as anything else you could buy. Couple pairs of socks and pair of reasonably priced hiking shoes or boots. Hey with Xmas coming and the sales after Xmas you have plenty of time to shop around. Try to buy things you are pretty certain you would wear when you are home to help justify the purchase. If you need shoes for school, if you happen to find hiking shoes you like then.... You are going to need a jacket for this winter, maybe find one a little more rugged. Do some creative shopping and looking.

first of all u need to figure out how long u will be gone and go from there , the other thing are u willing to go without clean pants for a day or so etc , and the other thing is how cold it gets at night where your going to be , and one more big important thing is be prepared for staying longer than planned u never no what may happen so bring extras better be safe than sorry below is my own list of things i would take for my self as well as for others
sleeping bags for each person
at least 2 pairs of long socks per person
2 long sleeve sweat shirts per person or one long sweat shirt and one warm jacket
long underwear for each person
warm gloves for each person
a flash ligh for each person adn extra batteries for each
a first aid kit with enough supplies for each person just in case
bottled water enough for each person for each day u r away
canned food that can be eaten rather its cooked or not
instead of buying a bunch of food take some of the food u already have at home
take a blkanket for each person
as for clothing i would say a couple pairs of jeans a pair of sweat pants and a couple pairs of shorts just in case it get hot or cold u r covered
the main thing is that u have enough food for each person adn a way to stay warm when it gets cold at night
