Very difficult to do. Most small dogs are more difficult to house break. The only thing I know that sort of works (most of the time) - is to keep them in their crate at first - with newspaper in it. Keep the crate near the back door. They will get used to pissing and crapping there for a couple weeks. Immediately after you let them out of the crate take them outside to go poo. After a couple weeks, remove the crate and leave a pile of newspapers on the floor where the crate was (near the back door). The dog will piss and crap on the newspapers for a few weeks. When you see the dog back there (near the papers) let him out and reward him if he goes poo outside. Then make the pile of newspapers smaller and smaller each day/week near the back door. This will train the dog to always go to the back door when he has to poo/pee. It will train you to know when he is there too. After a couple weeks - remove the newspapers all together (after shrinking them slowly). The dog will start to run around the back door and hopefully bark to be let out. Obviously you have to reward him everytime he does it outside. Punishing the dog when they poo inside never works. Praise is the only thing when potty training dogs.

But many little dogs like Boston Terriers still have accidents inside!
