California is one of the most expensive states to live in, even in the "cheaper" areas. I bolted from the San Francisco area about two years ago for southeast Texas and wouldn't move back to CA for anything.
The Golden State is pretty much all family-oriented, more or less, it changes from neighborhood to neighborhood. And it's certainly not boring, what with dodging bullets on the freeways, dodging bullets on the streets, dodging bullets in your living room, and the constant police & ambulance sirens at all hours of the day & night as they clean up the bodies of those who didn't dodge quick enough.
But if you really want it (and can afford it) there are lots of wonderful places to live there. Money not an object? Try Marin County or the area south of San Francisco; plenty close to the action, lots of family stuff, and it's beautiful as well.

Modest homes commence contained in the $1100 a month variety, and also you received't contact something "close to the coastline" except you're a believe fund brat. heavily! stay in Arizona, visit school and get your Cosmology degree there the position you received't pay Non-resident preparation rates, and artwork for decades to get adventure. THEN, in case you nonetheless want to flow the following you'll have a plan that would prevail
