I'am currently trying to decide which city in So Cal that I want to live in when I get out of the Navy in a year and a half. I'am currently stationed in San Diego, and I love it here, but I'am not liking the people so much. It seems like everyone in San Diego is a "Bay Area" transplant and they are all smug about living here. Many people here are rude, stuck-up, and selfish transplants from Nor Cal that try to fit a false So Cal stereotype. I'am also tired of the military scene. Despite LA's horrible traffic, pollution, and it's fair share of crime (at least in some areas anyway), I like it there. Especially West LA, Santa Monica, and Venice. It feels very different than San Diego. I feel like I can be myself there. The people are real and suprisingly friendly. If they don't like you, they say so, unlike in SD. Plus there is so much to do, and I could get a better quality education (at schools such as USC and UCLA) than I could at most colleges in SD. What should I do? Please help.

It's a constant "whump, whump, whump" that can be heard from anywhere in the city. It sounds as if it's coming from Mission Bay, South Beach, or Hunter's Point neighborshoods, but its hard to tell. You can hear it all the way in Twin Peaks.

Why is it that the Irish drop the letter aitch when using words such as : tink, instead of think,tree .....instead of three,etc
yet when it comes to the river Thames, they pronounce the aitch
whilst the rest of us drop it.
No offence,I love the Irish......well most of you.
It just puzzles me.
Maybe it's done simply to annoy the English

I used to love to skate. Now I just need some exercise. I thought I would try roller skating again. I would like to skate with older people, maybe then I won't feel so bad about getting back on some skates and probably breaking my neck. LOL I would rather not go to Roller Wheels in Detroit on Schoolcraft---very bad memories there. Thank you for your answers.

I've gotta choice : Cape Town, South Africa or Europe - London, Florence, Rome, Paris, Pisa, Caen, and a few others but I can't remember the names of all of the cities. A lot of my family is in South Africa and if I don't go this summer I'll have to go next summer. My dad and I want to go. It would cost approximately 6,000$ for both of us. If I go to Europe, I'll be going with a group and I won't bring my dad. For one ticket it's 5,400$. If I don't go on the trip to europe this summer, I probably won't get this opportunity again. I told my family in SA that I'd come see them this summer, but this came along and I really don't want to pass it up even though it's expensive. I'd be in Europe for 20 days, and if I went to SA I'd be there for about 3 1/2 weeks. The reason Europe is so expensive is once I pay the 5400$, everything is free when I get there. Do you think I should keep my promise and go to SA or go to Europe?

I have only travelled once by aeroplane-and i used british airways,i wanted to do things easy and securly first time,but now when i want to travel back to morocco id like to find a cheaper flight,i paid £330.00 from scotland aberdeen to marrakech morocco- id like to find a cheaper flight from scotland to casablanca-any ideas? this will be return flight,if you can help id be honoured,i thought london was a nightmare,and im ill,and rather avoid having to go to this destination,if need be i shall,but preferbly avoid,im looking for cheap flight,ive tried many sites but someone out there surely can help-thankyou.
