By car how much does it take to travel from Los Angeles (center of the city) to San Diego Zoo?

I estimate that it should take about 2 hours, but if you hit traffic, that would definitely prolong the drive. I am not too familiar with driving from the center of LA, but when I drive from east LA (like 45 minutes east of LA) and go down to SD, it takes me about 1.75 hours w/out traffic.

LOL, these answers assume you have the Interstate all to yourself, which only happens on Tuesday. I would say from North L.A. plan on a good 3 hours.
