i might advise taking income easy terms. The final 2 years, I even have long previous merely south of Cancun and stayed at an all-inclusive Iberostar hotel. the distinctive factors of interest might properly be expensive yet often for 2 human beings it replaced into one hundred twenty to do an expedition. i does no longer advise taking a mastercard with you through fact it quite is not risk-free doing the transactions across the international. additionally make certain you in easy terms take small expenses. you're able to do allot of bargaining with the souvenirs and get them low-fee. Take approximately a hundred and fifty in singles, some 5's, 10's, and 20's. besides the shown fact that, i do no longer recognize ways some distance 1000 will pass through fact diving is quite expensive down there. when I stayed for 2weeks one time and 10 days the different time, I had 2000+ with me through fact my husband is into diving and we spent maximum of it. i'm hoping I helped. have exciting in Cancun

The rule of thumb used to be $100 per day but if you're going to do sightseeing that might not be enough. Take $1000 if you're going to plan on doing things, less if you're going to an all-inclusive or you're staying in a condo or timeshare where you can cook some meals. We buy some food, water, soda and alcohol so it's less expensive.
Don't shop at the mall.......leave your shopping for when you get home. T-shirts-that's all!! Enjoy!

The question should not be how much to take it should be how much can you afford to take. I know somethings are prety cheap, but you have to remember you are going to a tourist spot, the best way to go is figurehow many people you want to buy gifts for then decide on how much you can afford to spend on each person and go from ther.

About $100 per day if you're going to do some shopping, but keep in mind that they do accept credit cards at most restaurants.
