No, Poland doesn't celebrate Halloween, although they try to bring more and more of the holiday to the country. In bigger cities you will be able to find some decorations, but I doubt they go all out with parties and dressing up.

I have been researching Halloween in Poland because I just moved here earlier this year. In Warsaw they have flyers posted up advertising halloween parties. So look around Krakow, you might find something! Purchase the WIK (Wprost i Kultura) magazine (they make an english version too!) for the Krakow area. Inside the magazine they give you the details on what's going on in the clubs/bars with reviews. The Warsaw edition has a page full of halloween parties in the current edition. And ofcoarse you can ask around, most of the younger generation can speak English. And in Poland it is not common to go trick or treating.
Have a great time in Krakow, Poland!

I have been going to Poland since 1971 back and forth and some times as much as twice a month, but until now I have not seen or heard of anyone who is celebrating Halloween.
Poland suppose to be a Roman Catholic country.
Some years ago I have seen that they celebrated their Halloween in the Scandinavian countries, but since two or three years ago it faded out.

No.They celebrate All Saints day on 1 Nov (national holiday, with most businesses closed and terrible traffic jams around cemeteries). There is definitely no Trick or Treat, but may be some dressing, decorations and bonfires - a recent and foreign import.

If you want to see a OTT holiday in Poland - it is on Easter Monday. Young people running around and pouring bucketfuls of water at friends and strangers in the street.

recently the fad has caught on... but on Nov. 1st is the day when many Poles go to relative's graves and light candles.

Kracow, no matter what time of year, is a magical place to be.
