I just came from Aruba about a week ago. You will be staying near the Palm Beach area...great sandy beaches. I stayed in the Oranjestad area and loved it. People are very helpful and always trying to help, they feel so proud of their island. Do not go shopping for American goods, prices re ridiculous. But if you shop for European goods you will find many deals. There is a restaurant called La Estancia (Argentinian steakhouse) on the Marketplace in front of the Renaissance Ocean Suites Hotel with night specials for $20 and you get a 4 course delicious meal. The casino at the Renaissance Marina Hotel is great, I got 4 Straight Flushes in a weekend playing Three Card Poker. I tried the casinos at the Palm Beach area but they were all playing Bingo during the day and the one in the Marriott which is a gorgeous hotel didn't pay at all. Try their "pastecini", looks like an empanada but it is kind of sweet and very good. It wasn't windy at all but kind of cloudy, but don't worry because even cloudy days were good (no sunburn). Enjoy your trip!

My family returned from our 13th trip to Aruba last month. As others have said it is a HOT, sunny island. The white sand beaches are beautiful. You may have some showers, but overall you should have plenty of sunshine. Bring and wear PLENTY of sunscreen.

In that you will be on an all inclusive plan you do not have to worry about restaurants, but do try to get out of the resort area and experience some of the other parts of the island besides Palm Beach.

To the north of Palm Beach in Malmok, there are 2 great snorkel spots as well as the California Lighthouse.

On the eastern side of the island there is nothing with the exception of rocks, wind, sand dunes, waves and the occassional wild goats and donkeys. This is the make up of Arikok National Park. Good to go and just drive around, this will definitely give you a totally different perspective of Aruba which you do not get from your chaise lounge :-)

If you can afford it, the helicopter tour is also an excellent way to get a "bird's eye view" of the small island.

I was there 2 years ago. I liked it a lot. I would recommend renting a car. Really easy getting around. Also if you like to gamble there is plenty of that down there. I think it is fixed though. lol here is some information on the hotel http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g147249-d151981-r3294495-Occidental_Grand_Aruba-Palm_Eagle_Beach_Aruba.html

aruba is verrry beautifull
white sandy beaches, turqouise waters, sunny days
my advice to you is to be careful of the trade-winds. you dont feel hot so you might burn easier. wear lots of sun tan lotion and keep reapplying.
im so jealous!!!=) have funnnn!!!!!!!!!!!
