I'm barely 5 feet and my weight is 100 Ibs. when I first started snowboarding a couple years ago I road a 144cm board it was fine but then the next board I got was a 135cm and I can move so much better on that board so what do u think the smallest size I could ride is?

how will my bindings be too far back negatively effect my skis performance? i have public enemey's 07/07 series and i think the bindings are mounted too far back. i want to ski all mountain, and i want to know if im going to be all over the place with no control over my skis.

OK, I want to Snowboard, and have some experience. My son wants to learn snowboarding. My wife and daughter have never skiied, and want to learn tradational style. We are going to have lessons before we go. We plan to take a week (out of school tut tut) possibly in Februrary , and this rules out USA/ Canada cos of the travel time. We also want to have options to do other non-skiing stuff should the mood take us, as to be honest the Wife and daughter are not that keen really.

So given the above, where would you recommend?

I have been to Andorra and am worried it might lack snow again. I fancy Grenada/ Spain, but have heard nothing of the snow quality or risk of having no Snow, or of the quality of the infrastructure.

All comments welcome.

I've been answering and reading lots of answers about snowboarding, and consider myself pretty knowledgeable but one thing I just can't understand is why so many people think Burton is exceptionally better than other snowboard brands.

People need to realize that Burton is not always the best, and in many cases, they are not, but you can always count on their products being overpriced for what you get.

Please tell me how some of you get this misconception, because it truly makes you look like an idiot to those of us that actually know something about snowboarding.

What is the material used to fill in dings in your snowboard or skis, (not the wax) And where can i get it? Like the thick stuff you melt and put into your real big dings and it hardens and fills it in?

I have a Columbia fleece jacket, and it's just not warm enough for the fall. Would a North Face Denali one be warmer? I don't want to spend all the money and still be freezing :( (I live in Upstate NY, and I'm cold ALL the time!)

I go skiing often and when I ski, I usally wear a hoody and a down vest. However, when it snows the hoody absorbs the snow and it gets wet. I have been considering buying a cold gear shirt from underarmour but, I also want to buy something to wear on top that will be waterproof. Is there something I can wear under my vest that is thin and waterproof and would match well. If you have any advice, that'll be great. Thanks~!

i'm a mediocre boarder when i'm going regular but when i switch to goofy i always fall. i used to ski (5 years, i think) but i love snowboarding so much more. anyone have any tips on how to improve my switch riding? (i would go out and ride switch more, but unfortunately i don't live near any open mountains yet, so anything off-mountain that i could do would help)

I am thinking to buy some high end demo skis, but the bindings are on a demo track. Does it make a difference when skiing? and is it worth removing the track, will removing the track damage the ski because of additional drilling?
