Is it easier to snowboard if you already know how to skateboard? I can skate so I was just wondering.

I think it is true - several of my best students were skateboarders before they tried snowboarding.
There is one other reason - skateboarders are usually young and flexible and have good balance - all of which help to learn snowboading. Not to say that you have to be young to learn - many learn very quickly in their 20's and 30's.
The biggest advantage that helps in learning to snowboard is balance in leaning to stay over a board - true of surfing, windsurfing, and skateboarding.

Probably, although I have never skateboarded. But I would think that the balance you learn to skateboard would help a lot in snowboarding. And I would think that the way you turn a skateboard is very similar as turning a snowboard.

Yes most of the time. I have taught skaters to ride many times. They pick it up pretty fast something they have little habits that they need to break. Like trying to left to the board to turn it. I had a little 10 year old do this. It's more like long-boarding. Now if you have ever skied and you skateboard it will come to you really quickly.

well yea. but when you're skateboarding you push off with your legs and in snowboarding, you push off with your legs while your feet are in the bindings. i say you can with a little practice you'll be really good.

i dont think so i think skate boarding and snowboarding are to diff things....maybe i'm wrong tho i dont know ...i can snowboard but not skate board at all but i like skate boarding i'm just really.... bad at it...

hmmm...probably...but i don't think it works the other way around....i can snowboard...but i can't skateboard for my life...that's how bad i am on a skateboard
