I have friends that ride both.

My friend with the K2 bindings has had them for over a year and claims that they are already worn out and now needs to leave the backs locked and use the straps.

I have a couple of friends that have Flow bindings and even though the backs sometimes drop down onto the snow and get stepped on, they have never broken and they are both happy with them.

How long have you been boarding? are you an all mtn guy or a park freestyle guy?

I have found the k2's offer more response and a direct feel of what the board is doing. While the flows even there all mtn model tend to be vage feeling but i prefer them over the k2's in a park setting.

But if this will be your first setup i would try to demo them but honestly if its your first setup go with whatever you want as they are both quality products!

Most of the major problems with the K2s have been worked out with the newer releases. There's not much fault with them I can find. Flows also have been around for a while, so I doubt there are any major issues with them as well. It basically comes down to how you feel in them. K2's give you a feel of regular strap ins where as Flows go over the whole top of your foot. You should try to find a demo day and see if they're available.

I've heard that Flow bindings aren't very reliable, but they have been around for a while so maybe they've gotten better. I've heard alot of people say the K2s are great, but I've never tried them. Another thing to think about is your boots. Some bindings work better with different boots, for example my current Airwalk boots fit pretty badly in my Burton Custom bindings, but my old Lamar ones fit perfectly.

I've heard much better things about K2 but you'll probably get more people recommending Flow just because everyone gets them and K2 hasn't had the product out there that long.

I have had the same pair of Flow bindings for a good 4 or 5 years now. I'm pretty happy with them and they didn't cost too much either :)
