Most likely the only difference is size and color.

There may also be some different materials used for a lighter rider that doesn't need as much strength or stiffness, but I seriously doubt it. Even the kids bindings are usually just scaled down versions of the lower end bindings.

Mens Large Snowboard Bindings

Sizing of the components- The hi backs on women's bindings are shorter, since anatomically women are shorter and have shorter calves. The bottom of the bindings are sized accordingly to the standard of women's and men's shoe sizes. Typically bindings come in women's and men's sizing- small (5-6), medium(7-8), large (9-10) and small (7-8), medium (9-10) , large (11+), respectively.

Design- Most women's bindings have a "girlier" style and design.

That being said I am a 21 year old female who has always used guys bindings for the 4 years that I've been riding and I like them better than girl's bindings. I've used some of my friends' boards with womens bindings and they were hurting my calves. I am 5'8 and I find the higher hiback more comfortable.

Technical differences are just a little wider/little stiffer/slightly heavier, simply put. But if you know how to ride already it probably would be no big, I have a men's deck (burton custom) that the guys in the shop said was perfect for me. Since it was a short board (for men, 148. I'm 5'6 120, size 8 boot) it really wasn't much wider than a female's 148, since it was made for a smaller guy in general. No big deal just look at the weight/height range it says the rider should be for the board, factor in type of riding etc..ask the dudes in the shop that sell boards what will be a good guy's board for you.

Basically,

womens snowboards, and bindings....

when made, the desighners took into acount how a woman rides and is built differantly to a male

for eg..
My ride womens board,,,

women have bigger hips then men so the balance is differant, also the carbon fibre is placed differently so the woman can get the most out of popping an olie.

the bindings - i ride K2 cinch debut *(womens) < recomend

they are built more delicatly to the mens and are shaped a little different!

i hope this helped :)

Base plates on a womens binding are narrower to fit a womens narrow boot.
The backs are typically shorter and wider then mens bindings backs. A womens calf muscle is placed lower and is wider then a mens. Mens rest higher and tend to be longer. Hence a mens "high back binding" and a womens specific binding.
