anyone know a good song for a skating routine, where a girl starts off as a stiff mannequin doll, then comes to life and skates, then ends the song again as the mannequin?

I'm a freestyle skater and have been considering switching to ice dance because of injuries I get from jumping. I recently got another concussion (I've had at least 5 so far on the ice) and I have also torn ligaments in my ankle. I'm not quite 16 and I was wondering if it would be too late for me to switch over to ice dance and still be competitive in it. I cannot give up skating all together because I love it too much, but the jumps are really hard on my body. Competiting is my favorite part of skating and if I am too old to start ice dance and be competitive in it, I'm not sure if I'll make the switch. I have been taking ice dance lessons for the past year or so and have passed all of my pre bronze compulsory dance tests and one bronze compulsory dance test. I will also be testing another dance soon. I have passed my Juvenile moves test and will be taking the Intermediate test in less than a month. I want your honest opinions, do I have any chance at being a competitive ice daner?

Honestly, when I've done badly in a comp, I look at it and think yah yah yah I know exactly where and why and how I messed up. But then there are times when I did well, and felt so awesome about what I did . . . and then I look at the video and still cringe! HA! I look slower, knees aren't as bent as much as I think, jumps aren't as high, spins aren't as fast, extentions aren't as extended - know what I mean?? Maybe videos don't justify how you look skating in real life . . . or maybe it's totally telling the truth - HA! Please don't be mean here about MY skating . . . I'm just wondering how you guys "see" your skating!

I've been taking ice skating lessons for seven weeks now (I signed up for Basic Pre-Alpha because I'm an absolute beginner). For some reason, my coach is already teaching me how to do spirals. I thought those weren't supposed to be learned until Freestyle 1 which is WAY ahead of Basic Pre-Alpha. I'm not exceptionally good at skating or anything, so it's not like I'm a really fast learner and she's moving me along because I'm really good.

Also, I'm 19 years old...could that be why she's teaching me alot more advanced stuff..because older people learn faster than little kids or something?

Should I complain about her or is it normal for older people to be taught things alot quicker?

I really love figure skating but I know that I'm not that flexible enough. I always find professional skaters doing similar things like the gymnasts do. I want to be a great figure skater but I'm not that flexible. Should I take gymnastics first?

Please help me.(Can I have these or one of these pictures:the ice-skaters face filled with thrill, triple axel/triple loop combination, someone yelling inside a house, girl packing in her room, girl at the airport, girl skating with at a rink wearing a costume (all of these girls have to be really pretty and chinese or korean)

You know those tight fit skating pants? I was wondering if you have ones made for skating like I do, or if you simply bought a pair of leggings from the store. Also, if you have leggings, do they work just as well?

Thanks, I've been wondering this for awhile since they are not that easy to find.

I've only taken two lessons so far and I noticed that both times my shoulders and upper arms seemed a little sore the next day. Does holding them up for balance help you build muscle in your arms? Also, I have a hard time holding them up for a long time because my arms get tired so I have to put them down for a bit. Does holding them up for a long time eventually get easier?
