I would suggest wearing a t shirt with a jacket on top so that you cool off if you begin to get too hot, wear thin, taller socks (polyester or nylon are always good). Exercise pants are always better than jeans even though you do have stretch jeans, when jeans get wet they get cold. Even though you don't think you will fall, I honestly would be surprised if you didn't. I've skated for 3 years and I can't think of a session where I didn't fall at least once even when I just went to skate around the rink with my friends and not do any fancy moves. If you could possibly buy a pair of stretchy gloves (they usually cost about $2) which they make skating much more comfortable, but since you are from Arizona gloves may be hard to find, I've never thought about having a hard time finding gloves because of the climate since I'm in Utah lol! Good luck!

You should wear some long pants and a long sleeve tee shirt. Jeans aren't the best thing to wear because when you fall they get wet and cold. Make sure to dress so that you can move, but stay warm. If I were to go skating with some friends I would just wear some long knit exercise pants. Sometimes I wear that for practice and it works out well. Bring a coat or jacket and some gloves. If you would like to you could wear a helmet or knee pads, but I don't think you really need them unless you are a toddler or have overprotective parents! Good luck.

That sounds fine! :)
All rinks are "cool" but temperatures of rinks can vary - some are colder than others. You might consider wearing a long-sleeved t-shirt just to keep your arms on the warm side . . . and it would protect your arms too in case you decide to skate without the light jacket.
GLOVES are a must! It doesn't matter whether you will fall or not - hands just freeze when you're skating!!
Bring a change of clothing (at least pants) just in case!! Your stretchy jeans sound fine to skate around in, but in the event that you do fall (you never know), they could get wet. Jeans tend to stay cold and wet!
Hope that helps!! Have a blast!!
***EDITED - If you seriously cannot find gloves, see if they sell them at the pro shop (if there is one) at that rink!

Wear stretch gloves--you know, those $1 kind that are all over the place during winter--or something that is a light weight type of gloves/mittens. That way, if you DO fall onto the ice, it's not so hard to get yourself up. Other than that, so long as the jeans are stretchy, you should be fine... have fun! :)

Yep, it sounds good. I reccomend comfortable stretchy jeans. Ever see anyone try to get up after a fall on the ice in tight non-stretch jeans? Its funny, but probably very uncomfortable.

Wear either jeans or tights, long cotton socks, and layer your top with a long sleeve top, and over that put a light, weight, long sleeve sweater. Wear light weight gloves. You may want [optional], a light, weight cap for your head.
