You know those tight fit skating pants? I was wondering if you have ones made for skating like I do, or if you simply bought a pair of leggings from the store. Also, if you have leggings, do they work just as well?

Thanks, I've been wondering this for awhile since they are not that easy to find.

Both of them would work fine for skating. I would suggest though that whatever pants or leggings you have that aren't made for skating that you only wear those for practices. Buy some real skating pants for competitions or shows. Skating pants are made specifically for skating to keep you warm, move with you, etc.

well, both work fine. It's just that leggings made specifically for skating work better because of their flexibility and stretch in the leggings. I have both leggings but i mostly use the ones for skating. And if you need a place to buy skating leggings, you could go to your skating arena's pro shop or a local sports store. Also, my regular leggings, look exactly like my skating leggings and work just the same .. pretty much. I got them at Gotham in Milburn. If you live near there, you might want to go check it out. :] good luck!

Are you talking about the lycra tights? Or just fitted pants?

If you're looking for actual tights, get nylon/lycra ones intended for sport use - regular leggings (like someone would wear under a sweatshirt or skirt) are NOT durable enough.

If you're looking for the tight pants, you can't do any better than Blue Skys! www.blueskys.com . I used to LOOVE their pants, it was pricy (like $85 at the time), but they last forever and are soooo comfy. I have no idea what they charge now, but whatever it is, it's so worth it.

I usually buy whatever I can find. They usually work the same and I don't have any problems with them. Some brands work better than others. I don't normally use leggings a lot though I normally use the exercise pants that you can buy at places like Target. They are the ones that are like knit pants usually made by Danskin
