I'm skating to the song "Keep Holding On" by Avril Lavigne, http://music.yahoo.com/ar-292016---Avril-Lavigne, for an ice show and as an artistic program for competition in a few months but I don't know what dress to get? What do you think would match the music (post links to them on online skating dress sites please)?

I accedentally left my skates in my hard guards for a week and now they are rusty, I am going to try using steel wool but I am concerned that it will ruin my blades or make it hard to skate, I need to use them on thursday and I just want to make sure it is okay to use steel wool, and skate on them without getting them sharpend first. Please help me out!

I've been skating for nine years and I've been able to land my jumps up to my double lutz. In the past year, however, I've been growing increasingly more afraid to jump. I'm afraid of falling and such. Doing off ice jumping helps a little, but once I get on the ice, the fear is back. It is not on all of my jumps, mostly just on the double toe, double flip, and double lutz. My parents say that if I can't do these jumps soon, like VERY soon, I'll have to quit skating. I really, really don't want to have to quit. How can I get over this fear?

can I do?

He's home from work today because of the snow storm, thought the cat (always indoors) would like the snow and ice, put a harness on him and had him slipping around out there "skating" trying to make a funny video ... probably for about a half an hour to an hour.

He finally brings the cat back in the house, and the cat is limping and can barely walk .. he calls me all in a panic!

I told him to take the cat to the vet immediately, but he's afraid to drive in the snow, and I can't leave work.

Help, anyone know what I can do?

I'm 18 years old and I only just started figure skating lessons one year ago. By the time I am good enough for ice shows like Disney on ice, will I be too old? It's something I really want to do.

Hockey players are beating up the other team and fighting over a piece of rubber. Figure skaters actually have some skill on their blades.

Hi, Im currently 14 years old and im thinking of goin into either figure skating or ballroom dancing. But, my problem is that, I cant make up my mind..I hear that Figure Skating costs more because you need/should take ballet classes and you need to have a choreographer n stuff.
Ballroom dancing has long since been my passion but, lately, all i can think of is figure skating. I there such thing as taking it as a hobby? I mean..it's still to expansive for a hobby?

I want to know what time they are open for public, and about how much it is including the lenting of the skating shoes.
It'll be also helpful if anyone knows if they're open on holidays like President Day coming up.
