Thats the Pancake Spin!! Para 1. I love figure skating because not alot of people do it. It makes it unique and everybody is always asking you how to do stuff. I also love doing the competitions. You get to practice so hard and when you find out you placed/medalled, the feeling is irreplacable. A sense of relief, happiness, and joy is amazing and so many things go thru your head at that moment. Another reason I love figure skating is because most people think its an easy sport and that anybody could do it, like soccer, football, etc. But when they try it, they get to see they are totally wrong. Its a HARD sport, and not everybody can do it. Para 2. To be a good figure skater you need to have patience, dedication, PRACTICE, Hard work, and determination. Para 3. You could right about the differnet types of skating. Pairs: when two skaters, a boy and a girl, pair up and do lifts, throw jumps, side by side elements, and more. Dance: when two skaters, a boy and a girl, pair up and do anything from dance lifts to just plain choreography. No jumps or spins. Singles: When one skater is doing jumps, spins, footwork by them self.

I am a serious figure skater. I have been out for a while because I had knee surgery, and my body reacted badly and ultimately I ended up with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome so I have been recovering from it, but I am planning to start skating again soon (as long as I'm able to). I was skating at high free skate and getting ready to finish up my Pre preliminary testing.

I started working on my axels when I was 7. Soon afterwards I moved and stopped taking lessons. I try to take lessons now and then, but it's hard to when I move about every year or so to a new country. I still enjoy skating and love teaching beginners. I'm hoping to start seriously taking lessons again in college. It was encouraging to hear from Hillary B that it is possible to become a good skater in a short amount of time!

I am a figure skater! I have landed my axel and a couple of double jumps. I am on Pre-Juvenile and I am on a synchronized skating team! I love figure skating, and I have been skating since I can remember! I starting taking lessons a year and a half ago. I started out on basic 4. So if any of you people think your to old to figure skate, forget it your never to old! Just practice and believe in yourself!

I am! I am in Open Juvenile and I'm 15 years old. I started skating when I was 10 years old and I absolutely love it! And I have all my double jumps and hope to land a triple salchow soon. I skate every day of the week for at least two hours

yes, I figure skate regularly & take lessons, but I don't consider myself a 'serious' figure skater because the main reason I skate is to have fun. (what other reason is there?) I'm at about the equivalent of USFSA Pre-preliminary level to Preliminary and am working on my single jumps.

I am an Adult Competitive skater in Canada and I compete in Open Adult 2. I'm currently working on my axel and double toe. Once I get all of my doubles back I'll be moving up to the Master's Division.
