ya sure. the more u skate, the better u get. i used to go every friday and saturday to skate and i used to stink! i kept going every week and i got better. then i got enrolled in lessons and i started going every saturday morning. after lessons, i would skate the public sessions. ever since, i've been skating every week. i skipped so many levels cuz i was so good, i got to skip 'em. so skating made me go up higher. u should definetely go again. u'll get better after going a lot like i did. so ya, u should go but don't try imitating icesk8rs like me, don't try to spin or do anything cuz it looks retarded. (no offense if u already did, just warning u) and iceskaters hate it when u go in the middle cuz they're practicing and it's annoying! just stay out on the sides but no too much on the boards and not so much near the middle. just go and have fun: live, love, life! good luck!!

If you enjoyed it you should definitely go again - without question.
There are however, two things that you should focus on the next time you go:
a)getting up by yourself - to do this, get onto your knees; bring one knee up and place your weight on it to help keep it still; and then push down bringing your other foot up as you carefully stand up - you may want to try this a few times off the ice first.
b)stopping on your own - to do this, gently glide forwards and then turn your toes towards each other into an open "V" and put your knees together; we would tell kids to "make a pizza".
Once you master these 2 things you'll be off and running in no time. If your knees are really sore and it bothers you, you might want to invest in some knee pads until you get into the swing of things. Oh, and until you can skate easily around the ice, it's probably better for you to skate in the center of the rink, that way you'll be less likely to trip other people when you fall.

Definitely! So what if you fell! I am sure you wern't the only one. And its great that you were able to skate without help, thats amazing considering it was only your first time. If you want to you should. And let me tell you falling is part of learning. And your not the only one with black and blue knees, I am working on my axel and I fall a lot in my landing. And I know it doesn't seem worth it, but once I get it down I know it will be. So keep skating, and have fun!

Here's some things to try on your next trip to the ice:
1. Don't look at your feet look ahead of you...that way your body is straight and you're not hunched over.
2. Bend your knees...that way you are closer to the ice so if you do fall...fall on your butt...much less painful..
3. Keep your arms out to balance you..if you think about it all pro skaters have their arms out all the time.
Practice practice practice...skating is the best feeling in the world..

I think you should go again. If you had fun and want to go again then do. The more you practice the better you will become. Go ahead and keep trying! If you want you could wear some knee pads underneath your pants.

Keep going. You can do it. With some more practice you'll soon be flying around the rink.

its alright if u fall! when i first started to skate, i fell 3 times and didnt get up until someone got me up. but when i went bak, go with friends that r trustworthy and r pretty good skaters. fall on purpose a couple of times til u got it perfect. if u cant get up, ask ur friends, cuz thats wat friends do-play, have fun and help friends!

you should go 'cause skating rocks and everyone is bad at it when they first start. You could also take lessons when you feel ready.
