It must be cheap and in a in a recognised dive area. The environmental work should be doing something useful not just a rip off. Can anyone help?

My father, for example, is a "sinker," meaning that he cannot just float quietly in water (even if he inflates his lungs); he will sink all the way under. I also met a guy who said he was the same. This guy definitely is not afraid to swim, because he is a lifeguard, and he said yeah, he can't just float like most people; he has to move around in the water to keep himself at the surface. I am wondering why there are a few people (are they all men?) who cannot float, and I'm also wondering how common this is. Thanks!

It has always been a dream of mine to swim with dolphins and I've been fascinated by them since a child. What was it like? Did you swim with them in the wild or captivity?

I recently began practicing on a swim team and am really sore and tired all the time. We practice twice a day everyday for a total of 4 hours. What can I do to help relieve some of the soreness? I am also in school and find it increasingly hard to stay awake and pay attention. Any ideas? I want to keep swimming, I like being on the team. I just need to know how to adjust to the effect it's having on my body.

I'm no more than 55kg at 155cm. I'm 17. I have minor joint problems, though I still can jog, run & do everything you can do.. just that it might hurt a bit later.

I'm trying to lose the extra overall body fat and tone up, especially around the butt and thighs to fit into.. smaller pants!! I'm between a uk size 10-12. I want to be around a uk size 8-10.

Questions:
1. Is swimming an effective way to slim down overall body fat and tone up at the same time?
(I'm only able to do backstrokes and frog style with my head above water due to sinus)

2. Is there anything else I can do to improve my workouts?

3. I don't do warm ups, what sort of warm ups should I do before I swim? What about warming down?

5. Would three hours be enough? I can swim for long periods of time (5-6 hours) almost non-stop with a half a minute breathing break every lap. (sinus)

6. Slimmer arms, Smaller butt & thighs, Smaller waist with minimal muscles, Smaller breasts too, wants to Target back fat, Tone calves

If i swim one hour of pulling w/ paddles and another hour kicking with fins...will that improve my swimming?

Because i feel slow compared to the other swimmers who glide through the water like nothing and not get tired >_<

I have bought a couple of good quality ones lately, but my hair is just as wet after swimming as if I hadn't had one on - if they don't work, what are they for? Thanks for your advice (I'm a new swimmer by the way!)

I've always wanted to do diving, but I don't know if I should join in highschool. Are most people that do diving in highschool already experienced?? I'm a gymnast, so I can do flips and stuff, but I'm still not sure.
