Probably the Keys. Lots of dive shops, lots of instruction. And nice easy diving - and very nice.

Anywhere on the planet the water is deeper than 2 feet. Simple as that. Try all types of diving before you can have a personal preference for a destination or type of dive.
Are you stuck with not being able to travel? There's far more than springs and a few artificial reef wrecks to dive on this round ball.
