My coach says that I lean off the board but when i stand it up, i don't spin as fast therfore, i land smack on my back.

I go off the board on a slight angle / . I let the board push me away into the air so my feet fly up. Then, I put my left hand behind my head, right arm across the chest, but I only go a quarter of a turn!I am over rotating like crazy though. I have so much time! Helpppp!

I don't swim very long about 45 minutes to 1 hour with a 5 minute break 3-4 times a week, but I am developing swimmers shoulder.

I am just a beginner so my technique is probably really bad. I am trying to improve my technique by following some tips I found on the internet.

Does any one have any other suggestions?

I’ve been swimming since I was 15, I’ve never bothered to try any style other than freestyle. For 10 years I’ve been competing freestyle. I decided to put all my efforts into butterfly. After several weeks, I was able to swim 250m of butterfly everyday non-stop. It’s not much considering I can effortless swim 5km freestyle. I’m 25, and I’ve never experienced any kind of back pain, until now. It’s not much pain, I don’t need aspirin or cream or anything it’s just scary. I’ve just never experienced any kind of soreness or discomfort on my back, and now I’m scared I might have hurt a part of my body that was perfectly well.

Should I stop doing butterfly, will this go away, did I hurt myself?

When I go swimming with goggles, I end up with bright red lines around my eye sockets where they've been. While these go away after 10 mins, I'm also left with my (normally purple) bags under my eyes going bright red. And they stay that way for quite a while, which is embarrasing since I swim before work. Any ideas how to make them go back to normal faster ? (I have of course also tried loosening the goggles ;)

Thanks

I joined the Navy a couple of weeks ago, and I ship out in July. I know I'm in good enough shape for the regular Navy, but right after Boot Camp, I go to BUD/S. I need to get into extremely good shape before July, so any advice or tips on how I can improve my run times, swim times, etc. would really help.

I can take the regulator out of my mouth, but when I put it back in my mouth, water gets into my mask and I suck it up my nose. I am also terrified to let water into my mask. because I have trouble not breathing through my nose. I love divng, but until I can complete these skills I cannot continue with my certification. I wish I was more comfortable under the water, but I don't know how to get over my fear. I have tried practicing in the bathtub, using only the snorkel, but I still suck water up my nose. And advice??? SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE.
