Why is it that I can order and have ammunition shipped right to my door, but it's a crime for me to ship ammunition to someone?

What's so harmful about shipping a few boxes of shells to my cousin to do some skeet shooting with anyway?

I was looking at the Henry US survival rifle. I will probably only use it for target shooting, maybe use it to shoot a few grouse while deer hunting. I like how it all breaks down to fit in the stock, but if it shoots like 24 inch groups at 50 yards it is no good to me. If you could give me a bunch of info on the quality I would greatly appreciate it.

I plan on buying a rifle to shoot targets at LONG range (maybe some hunting). I love the idea of very small & fast (220 swift, 25 mag, sabots, etc...) but my father who has LOTS of experience (retired Army) tells me that a very small bullet is very susceptible to wind and sheds velocity & energy quickly regardless of muzzle velocity. He tells me I shouldn't go under .30 caliber for that reason. I've done a little research (along with his advice) and I'm thinking about a .300 Ultra Mag. I don't have alot of experience, I just like long range accuracy. Is a .300 Ultra Mag a good rifle at 300 yards? Any suggestions for a better rifle? I don't want to be shooting a cannon so please don't tell me "get a .50 cal". That's my target range-300 yards. I don't want to spend more than $2500 or so. So pretty much my question would be what is the best rifle (around .30 caliber or under) for TIGHT 300 yard groups? Thanx for experienced advice!

Personal experience is a plus when answering. Im not gonna shoot a bullet heavier than 168gr. I am shooting 150gr now but am thinking about going to 168gr. Any length and load data will be appreciated. I am wanting it to be a lil shorter and lighter.

Hello all.

I am looking to get into coyote hunting. But I wish to save the hides.

I own a 12 gauge pump shotgun
A k98 Mauser
A Mousin Nagant (I believe m44)
And a Chinese SKS

I was originally thinking of getting a few odds and ends for the SKS. But then I thought hay, I haven’t bought a gun in a while. So why not pick one up.

I am looking for a fur friendly coyote hunting gun. And was wounding what would be a good choice for me.

Keep in mind that I (like everyone else) am on a budget. And not looking to spend more then $350 (for the whole 9 yards)

I have heard tell that the SKS is a good coyote gun, but it kind of messes with the fur yes??

Also, since the fur is my main goal hear, I have been told to take a head shot whenever I can get one.... is this a good idea?

I already have a k98 Mauser, but the stock is in rough shape along with the finish on the barrel. It shoots great. My father gave me a very nice scope, carrying case, sling and other accessories for it, but I want to use it on a nicer rifle and keep this one for target shooting playing around while setting up a nicer one for hunting. Should I buy another K98 German Mauser or a different one such as a Yugoslavian? Which is the best?
