Don't expect to win target competition, but it is a very useful little rifle. It will probably become part of your fishing tackle to handle snakes and other varmints.
Everyone I've known who had one was very satisfied.

It is a neat little gun. It wont shoot 1" groups at 100 yards but it will shoot 1" groups at 25-35 yards or better. Mine shoots really well, but I played with several different ammo's until I found the one that my rifle liked. I take mine when I'm fishing, backpacking, or when I'm out scouting new hunting areas. It's light and handy. Good luck and take a friend shooting, we need as many pro-gun friends as we can get. Merry Christmas....

The Henry U.S. Survival rifle is ultra-lightweight, weighing in at a scant 2.5 pounds. The unique design allows the rifle to break down easily into three pieces in seconds. This enables the barrel, action and two 8-round magazines to fit comfortably into the tough ABS synthetic waterproof stock. No tools are needed to assemble or disassemble. Once disassembled and stowed, it is only an incredible 16 inches long. Carry it in your backpack with room to spare.
To assemble, simply attach the receiver to the stock, insert the barrel, screw on the barrel nut and you’re ready to fire. In seconds, you’ll have the security of a semi-automatic rifle without the bulk and weight of a full size firearm.
The Henry U.S. Survival rifle features a steel barrel that is covered in a tough ABS plastic and then coated in Teflon. This unique barrel design allows the gun to balance properly and remain lightweight, yet withstand tens of thousands of rounds. The entire receiver is also coated in Teflon, making the Henry U.S. Survival rifle the most weather-resistant of any AR-7 ever made. As an added feature, the receiver rib is now grooved for easy installation of a scope.
The rifle is capable of feeding both standard and high velocity .22 Long Rifle ammunition. Average groups at fifty yards will depend on ammo type, shooters skills, I would reccommend several hours of range time testing differnet ammo for feed and reliabity. Over all my personal experince with this type of rifle has been favorable.

The gun was originally made by Charter Arms, then later on by other manufacturers. It is an accurate gun for distances under 50 yards.

the best thing to do is pick it up and feel it for yourself, I picked it up and thought my son's red ryder bb gun is put together better, I'm sure it works fine, but when I picked it up, it was just too much plastic, for the same price you can pick up a mossberg 22 semi-auto.
try looking at H&R they have a survivor type gun that shoots .45 colt and .410 shotshells(single shot tho...)
