I'm just gonna give you the best round I find....book wise. It all depends on what your rifle likes best. And Your choice of optics.

0 3100 747
100 2278 403 +2.8
200 1601 199 0
300 1135 100 -16.9
(WHY?)
400 929 67 -60.4

This one was sighted in at 200 Yds.

150 to 175 yards and it is extremely accurate.* A high quality scope to go with it is mandatory.* As long as your spending the $$$$ I would get a 22-250 caliber which has an effective range of 400 yards equipped with a 20 power scope.* Remington or Savage Brand preferably.* Buy used an save $$$$.* A new rifle doesn't shoot any better than a good used one.* The 22-250 is by far a wiser and more effective rifle as far as caliber and accuracy.*

For Squirrels and PDogs you can go out to 200-250 if you have the accuracy. for anything larger than that you better stay within 150 to 200. the Hornet is a fun round to shoot it is quiet and has virtualy no recoil. I would put a 6-18 or 6-24 power scop on it and call it good to go.

I have seen Hornets that will shoot benchrest quality groups and I have seen hornets that you can shoot better groups with a 00Buck than them. So buy it and hold your breath.

This cartridge can be a pain in the ares to reload for.
