I need to know what the law is in the State of Maine, my son is 11, and I have been told in Maine he can hold a gun and go hunting, please let me know the law??

I asked a similar ? to this already and a guy told me I shouldnt try to use the FMJ to hunt with, why? I would like to understand the ballistics and make up of different bullets. And no one has ever heard of HotShot ammo before, I found it on the internet for a decent price, even if I cant shoot deer with it I can still have fun with it, 100rds for 45$ is near unheard of in this caliber. Should I buy different bullets to hunt with?

I have gone to my Bass Pro shop and shot at 20 yards and have that pretty much right on but am needing to fix the 30 and 40 yard measurements. is there an easy way how to get my sights all lined up? thanks

Hello,

I enjoy target shooting but I rarely take my assault rifles though. One of them was purchased by me 'pre-ban' and the others I purchased while on vacation in other states. Does anyone know the penalty if you get caught shooting an assault rifle in California? What about the one that I bought back in the 80's? Is it okay to shoot that one even though it is an ar-15? Just wondering if anybody has dealt with this before. . . . Thanks, Randy

Yesterday I posted a question asking for some good, inexpensive handguns. I've decided that since I'm a beginner, I should start off with a .22. From what I hear, .22s are a great learning gun and they are the best guns to learn good marksmanship. Disappointingly, I think most of them are butt-ugly. As I mentioned before, the pistol will be used for practice, but in the long run I want a good gun for target shooting and home defense.

So, what are some good, inexpensive .22s and are there any in the typical polymer frame?
