OK I know there's no correct answer to this but let me ask for the sake of it. When a deer gets harvested with an arrow, does it run in the direction it was traveling, turn around and run opposite, or what?
Also, does it matter which way it heads if it's returning to the bedding area in the early morning or leaving the bedding area late afternoon/dusk when it gets harvested?
I've been finding that mine all turn around and head BACK to where they were coming from no matter.

I ask the question, because I have boxes of ammo purchased several years ago, and I want to make sure they can be relied on for self defense if I need to use them. Do the police or army have any guidelines for how long you can keep bullets around before they might get old and undependable? How often should you buy new bullets for your gun?

A question for you hunters and the parents of little hunters . . .

What do you think is the appropriate age for a "child" to own a firearm? When I say a child, I mean someone who is younger than 18. BB gun, Pellet gun, Shotgun, Rifle, and those Airgun gun toys. And I'm talking about for a parent to purchase it and give it to a child not for a child to go out and purchase it on their own. Do you think there should be different ages for a girl or a boy? I know that there are different brands that have different strengths...Benjamin pellet guns, Daisy, etc. Christmas is around the corner and I just want to know what you think? This is my opinion below. (I have 18 for the airgun since that's what is says on the box.)

BB Pellet Shot Rifle Airgun Other
Girl 7 10 14 16 18
Boy 7 10 14 16 18

I was all excited to go deer hunting with some family (they were right good times), but they have never shot anything except my grandfather (RIP). So now what do we do with it? Obviously we are going to eat it, but where to start? Help on butchering a animal! This may sound stupid to some people, but are there people you can pay to do this for you (clean a carcass)? I am not finding anybody, but maybe by some miracle someone can at least direct through the steps of cleaning a carcass please.

Want to see if the Chinese made version of the AK in caliber .223 Remington will work safely and without modifcation for the Valmet M76. I have read that Tomex mags can be fitted to work, but I don't want to do that. Is there a supply of 30 round Valmet magazine available?

What group do you hate most in the world?

38's would do the job, too. I just don't know who makes a reliable round with good stopping power.

Like maybe a composite gun that shoots ceramic bullets? Does it have to be metal? I think it would be scary if they had guns like that.

My question is it worth paying the extra money for the recoil reduction in the Super Nova? Or should I go with the Nova and purchase the mercury recoil reducers? Seem like the same gun besides that.

I have a harrington and richardson hammerless pistol. I think it is a 38 caliber gun. I am not sure though, my grandpa left it to me. I tried using 38 special. If I put the bullet in the muzzle and it doesn't fit does that mean it is not a 38? Because it fits in the cylinder(but it won't close because the casing is too long) and it is pretty snug, it is not too loose. Can the bullet seem too small for the muzzle, but then work fine when fired? I don't want it blowing up in my face.So I need two answers really. What bullet has a smaller casing that would fit into the cylinder, and how can I be sure it doesn't take a smaller caliber like a .32 or something?
