don't listen to these people telling you to get a .22...it is actually responsible for most handgun related deaths...it is small yet deceiving in dammages.you should not carry a gun to injure , it is for self defense and if you are thinking about buying one to carry, i sugest getting a conceiled weapons permit first since it is a felony to carry one without it and carrying a gun is no joke.it can qucikly get you killed.

Alot of the answers here say a 22 is the least lethal but in reality a 25 auto is the least lethal. The two cartridges have about the same powder charge but different weight's of bullets. The 25 moves slower and has very little penetration.

I know this'll stir up the forum but......If you ever "need" to pull your least lethal handgun, you will obviously need it. Either carry something big enough to stop a fight or don't carry at all. It could cost you and your family your lives. P.S.-take a concealed carry course and learn the MOST important thing about handguns. SAFETY!!

If you are going to buy and carry a handgun, dont be a sissy! Buy yourself a .380 9mm and take a class so you wont be too afraid to use it, should the need arise. Stay out of situations that would require carrying a gun in the first place.

A b.b. gun, if you must know. And why not? You want target practice, the bb gun will do just fine. You buy or make your own standard target and shoot at a distance of 33 feet. Your bullseye is the size of the period at the end of this sentence. Think hitting that consistently don't take real skill? Try it sometime!

A Raven 25 automatic. You'll never hit what your aiming at so it couldn't possibly be lethal.

That has to be one of the dumbest questions I've ever seen posted in this forum.
If you don't know any more than that about firearms, you have no business having one.
By the way, I'm ardently PRO-gun, advocating that our society would be safer and more civil if everyone would wear a loaded firearm, everywhere they go, all of the time.
But, as for you - - - !!!!??
PLEASE - - - contact your local firearms dealer, shooting club, or law enforcement agency to obtain firearms training.
