I will NEVER EVER USE WOLF AMMO AGAIN. I would rather fight a war alone with a pocket knife than to have a gun fully loaded with wolf ammo. Question answered?

Wolf ammo is OK. I use it in my 45 S&W on the range because it is cheap to shoot. 45 ammo is like 35 to 50 cents a round any more. The wolf ammo also has a sealed primer and the projectile is sealed to the cartridge case to prevent mouster intrusion, so it is a fairly decent field round. I have fired some where in the neighborhood of 20,000 rounds and have i think three misfires from the wolf ammo . Now if you are shooting as a hunter or shooting for compitition i would suggest either buying "Math Grade" ammo or invest in your own press and build your own rounds. It is vot hard to do and it'll let you set the grain wieghts up the way you like.

Well, Wolf is pretty crappy..but its cheap crap that does shoot. Its dirty. It can't be reloaded. The steel case can be a PITA. Its not first rate stuff. Powder drops can be off considerably (I had a friend who got some pretty hot loads from Wolf). Its not match grade or even good grade stuff - I've seen some pretty poor groups shot with it - although, I have seen some alright ones too.

I wouldn't suggest using it in your first class firearms.. If you have an old SKS or M44 clunker or something, go for the Wolf. If you have a standard or match grade AR15, M4, M1, or M1A or something you care about a little more than an old beater, stick with the good stuff - brass cased mil. surplus or remanufactured or factory fresh (other than Wolf).

Simply stated - Wolf is good blasting ammo for your old Russian mil surplus rifle - that's about it.

Yes, it is. It goes POP and it hits the target. What else does one expect from ammo?

Steel casings, contrary to what others in this thread have implied, do no more damage to firearms than brass ones do. There is no working difference.

Wolf ammo is made on the same machines of the same components as military ammo is. It's no better or worse than any other military surplus ammo.

It's dirty, and not the most consistant, although it's not the worst either. I don't know if they make the steel cases in a .30-30, but even if they did, it probably wouldn't be as hard on it as it might a semi-auto. It's one of the crappiest for sure, but it's cheap. Is it worth it? Maybe that's a question you have to answer yourself.

I only use it for my Ak47. I have a 30-006 and use Remington core lokt. It depends on how well your gun uses the bullets. Believe it or not guns shoot best with a certain grain of powder. Your gun might be dead on with wolf. Just take it to a shooting range and see how the pattern is for different kinds of ammo.

It is dirty, cannot be reloaded, and the steel cases can potentially cause some issues. I don't know much about accuracy. This stuff is just too poor of quality. There is better to be had for just a little more money.

The Wolf Gold line is much better I hear.

steel case wont hurt your gun. Shoot wolf for practice use better ammo for taking game. and to those who say it is dirty...Winchester white box is just as dirty, and besides quit being lazy and clean your weapons.

I have only bought it for my AK47. Mainly because of the cost. I have not had any bad experiences with it either.
