Hi i have a big problem with finding a recoil pad for my youth model Rossi 20 gauge. It does for an absolute fact kick harder than any 12 gauge i have ever shot. Yes the 20 gauge is a single shot breakdown and that explains why it has so much pep to it. right now i shoot 20 gauge2 3/4 Express long rang shells but i don't really want to switch my shotgun shell because they have just the amount of power i need and not to mention the good quaility.

But plaese i need help finding a recoil pad and i'll take answers from any one even if u know u might be or u are wrong

I am using this caliber on elk next fall and have two loads in mind so far. A 130 Barnes TSX at about 3000fps and a 140 nosler partition at about 2800fps. Does anyone have any other ideas? What do you think of these loads?

I am looking at buying an AR style rifle and from looking around I see a lot are made for .223 and some are made to handle both .223 and 5.56. I am wondering which is better to get. I understand on one hand I have options, but I would also think that while one can handle both, it still wouldn't be as good as one designed especially for one caliber. My logic tells me to buy the one specializing on 1 caliber and doing it well rather than trying to get one that can do both but does them ok. I am wondering if my logic is right or not, let me know what u think.

arrows are usually suppose to snap onto string but when i put on the arrows and pull back the string they just fall off.

is it the arrows or the bow string?

I noticed that in my old bow their was the wire but towards the mddle their was a point where it looked like somone rapped string tightly around it and it got thicker?

cause all the wire looks the same in my new one.

and when I put the arrows on they can like easily slip along the wire?

what do I do?

I'm not hunting.

I'm shooting a target in my backyard.

I'm planning our camping trip for next summer and need some ideas for a 7 year old while we camp at Rocky Mountain National Park. Does anyone know if they do a fireworks show? Easy trails that she could keep up on? Any recomendations on camp grounds within the park? We camp a lot in eastern nebraska all summer, but mountains will be different. Will it get really cold at night? I've been there once, but it was soo long ago I don't remember the details. Also any recent prices would be helpful. Thanks in advance! Any ideas welcome!

Can it be done? We're thinking of getting a tent and all the gear and going camping (just locally, in South Wales or the West Country) this year, but our son will only be 18 months old in May (we'd be planning to go around July/August time).

I'm just not sure whether it would be a good idea to do so with a little one - worries about insect bites, it being too cold for him at night etc. I'd appreciate advice from any experienced campers on this, also what sort of equipment we'd need to get.

My girl told me to give up fishing coz she thinks it's cruel. I agree it's scary to imagine what the hooks do to the fishes. But many fishermen catch their fishes in thousands of cruel methods. So we all have to stop eating fish? I am confused.

I am looking for an all around do everything shotgun. I prefer autoloaders and shorter barrels. Shotgun will be used for recreation and occasional 3 gun USPSA match as well as deer, turkey, rabbits, what have ya. I really like the Remington 1100 Tac 4. Normal stock 22 inch vent rib, screw in tubes, and allready comes with magazine extinsions for match use. For $17 I can remove extension and cap at 3 rounds. The only thing that keeps it from being perfect for me is the 2 and 3/4 inch chamber. Is this gonna be a serious handicap for short range woods deer and turkey ?

I got a German K98k for Christmas, and I am very happy.
The only thing I have to do now is to find some 'copper' jacketed ammo for my local gun range.( they don't allow any bullet that will attract to magnet)
Saw some ammo in a surplus store, and they are made in Yugoslavia during the 1950s. Are those Copper jacketed bullet?

I know there are a few firearm dealers on here, so I thought I'd ask.

I am interested in purchasing a Swiss K-31 rifle in the next few months. One website I came across that sells them claims that there are no more stockpiles of the rifles left and will probably become quite scarce pretty soon.

Does anyone know if this is true?

Also, if anyone has a K-31, I'd be interested on your opinion of the weapon.

I bought a set of dies for my .45 ACP. There is a sizer die with a decapping pin in it. Isn't that supposed to pop out the old primer? Because my reloading book describes a universal decapping die. I don't need that do I? Thanks.
