With the new arena holding 15000 people, and an existing hockey market that would sell out season tickets, why isn't the league persuing a team in an existing market? BTW selling out an arena of 15000 would be better than sellin 5000-8000 tx in an arena that holds 20K...

What makes you so sure? I love my Sabres, but I think it can go either way unless they pick up right where they left off during the third period of their last game.

I was at the Penguins game Dec 29 2006 watching my Leafs lose and I saw some fans with a big banner that was about the rally. I live 5 hours away in Ontario so I could not go. As glad as I would be to see a new NHL team in Ontario I would still hate to see an NHL team with such history lose the team. When I was in the city it seemed the locals all loved the Steelers but did not care as much about the Penguins. Being as the NFL season ends December-February this would leave Feb to June to cheer for the Penguins so that is something to keep in mind for all you Steelers fans.

Im trying to remember the name of a hockey player that played for the detroit red wings. Somewhere around the 80's. American guy in his 20's, dark hair, nice looking.

Not joking but he always got into fights and did a tv. comercial for a car company I think where he answered the car phone from from the back seat saying something like "mom, Its not me, there alway picking on me".

Its driving me crazy. Any help please.

I am upset i dont want them to leave im only 15 and have never been to a game because my dad is in the airforce i would hate to see them leave they are a good franshice and i have been a fan for 12 years the nhl wants them to stay so why not give them a new stadium those a$$ wholes

Why are there cross-border college basketball exhibition games and tournaments, but that never seems to happen with hockey?
Is it because the Canadian schools mostly have players the NCAA regards as former pros?

I have to go to the Leafs website to find out when the Leafs are on TSN. I pay a lot of money for digital cable and have my internet on there as well. I would like to know how to complain but feel it is such a big company they will not listen to me anyway. They say when you tune it in that is is regional coverage but I feel for all the money we pay they could sort this out. I have heard of many Leaf fans missing the game because they thought it was not televised.

Ice hockey players with thier paddings they are poofs they should try a real sport like football not the gay american kind where they wear padding but real football where they use foot. Football or Futbol not stupid NFL style football.
Ice hockey players are wimps for wearing paddings. Soccer players dont show acts of cowardness. Also Ice hockey like american football is a US only sport.
