Yea, the Wings went when they won in '98.

The winners of the Stanley Cup should get invited to the White House but they don't, The winners of the Presidents Trophy gets a trip to the white house. The Presidents Trophy goes to the team in the NHL with the Best overall record. Last the Detroit Red Wings won so they to a visit to see the White House and good ole Bushy.

Yes they do. When the Wings won in 1998 they went to the White House and gave Clinton a jersey. It had the Stanley Cup patch on it plus the Believe patch for Konstantinov, instead of a C for captain it had a P for president. The number on it is #1. if you watch the CD the Wings put out for their 1997-98 season you can see footage of the visit.
