It's a CCM Vector, I'm looking to turn it into a shaft now that the blade is wearing thin.

cut the blade off high enough that you are left with just the straight shaft. flip it upside down and glue the blade into the former butt end and tape a knob on the former blade end. the blade end of composite sticks taper and will not accomodate a replacement blade...they want you to buy a new stick but you don't have to.

It is a hollow shaft so cut it off at your proper height and put your blade in. Good luck. You can use a power saw or a hand saw but some wood saw blades may be too coarse.

for the person below me, yes even with the S17, you can make it a two-pice, you just can't put in an extension because of the hossel shape. An dyes you can put a blade in, just go to your local hockey shop and they will do it for you.
