I know that all goalies make good saves. But what was the best one you witnessed THIS season? For me, it was the save by Ryan Miller against the Boston Bruins a little over a week ago. What's yours???????!!!????!?!?!?!??!!?!?!!?!!?? i like pie.

all right...alot of goalies have been protesting to the new rule about a game going into a shootout if it's still tied after 5 mins of overtime...i mean it takes away the attention to how well a team plays together and puts all the attention on who has better skills...it puts alot of pressure on the goalies and the players...alot more than there should be...also the rules regarding the shootout are a litte ****** up....but then again it's entertaining...i think they're shouldn't be shooutouts...you?

Does anyone know how the line goes word-for-word?

I remember back in the mid to late 90's watching hockey on ESPN all the time. They used to show games on NBC on the weekends too. The only time I ever see hockey on TV anymore is when they show the local team on Fox Sports Net. I can't believe the NHL wouldn't sign a deal with ESPN... this has hurt the popularity of the game IMMEASURABLY!

In gretzgeys time the goalies and defenses were much worse then they are now. Crosby is puting up numbers that are close to Gretzgeys numbers, and no doubt would be better than gretzgeys if Crosby played in his era. Suppose Crobsy and Gretzgey go at it, both in their primes. Messier is on their left, Jagr on the right. Kasperitus and Gonchar are the defensivemen, and Broduer is the goalie. Which of the two has a better night? The wings, defense, and goalie apply to both players (just assume)

I am more interested to watch the youngstars game, Have any of you ever heard of Vitarelli Flippula on the Detroit Red Wings? He is a rookie with very nice hands and good vision. Has more goals than most kids in the youngstars game, Why didn't he make it? Who are your favorite upcomming college prospects for the NHL?

A lot of hockey guys/girls are superstious as far as pre game stuff is concerned. I was just wondering if any of you have any pre game rituals or superstitions that you do before, during or after the games?

Just curious...

Curious, but it still seems that some of the teams are failing and falling in the markets they are in. When I look around, moving teams seems to be only a short term fix currently as well...example, moving the Penguins to KC might seem like a good idea, but the league has failed there before. We've had bankruptcy protection for a few teams in recent memory as well...

Might we be looking at some contraction in the league?
